Capital Pro Wrestling Tag Teams with Soles4Vets to Raise Money for Veterans

Professional Wrestling Action Returns to the Fledge!

LANSING, MI (10/3/2019) – Professional wrestling action has returned to Lansing after many years away. Capital Pro Wrestling, in conjunction with American Lucha Libre, LLC (http://www.americanluchalibre.com/), have been producing events in the area since June, attracting hundreds of screaming fans. Just coming off a huge event on September 28th, they are gearing for their next on November 9th.

Those running the events wanted to find a way to help give back to the community that embraced them. Enter Geronimo Lerma of Footprints of Michigan, Inc (https://footprintsofmichigan.org/). “We saw the next CPW event would be on November 9th, the weekend before Veteran’s Day. It was a no-brainer, let’s team up and help support our veterans through Soles4Vets.” Soles4Vets collects new and gently used shoe and socks donations, as well as cash, to provide as many veterans with footwear and socks across the state of Michigan.

“It’s incredibly important to give to the veterans who have given so much to all of us,” said Zack Macomber, Executive Producer at American Lucha Libre. A portion of ticket sales from the November 9th matches will be donated to Soles4Vets. The event runners are seeking sponsors to help fund the matches. Event programs are available for fans to get information on the day’s card, some of the wrestlers, and sponsors of the event. Video episodes of the Great Lakes Professional Wrestling Showcase are taped at the event and are currently airing weekly on the Head Drop Productions channel on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/headdropproductions).

Capital Pro Wrestling is working with radically inclusive community space, The Fledge, (http://thefledge.com/) 1300 Eureka St. in Lansing, to house their events. The Fledge is constantly working with the community to act as a business incubator, event space, meeting spot, and more. Jerry Norris, proprietor of the Fledge, sees good things from CPW, “I love the pro wrestling here, it brings people to the Fledge that can learn what we are about and get involved with the community.”

Tickets are available for $15, pricing specials this month include $5 tickets for veterans and their families, as well as the Family Four (or more) Pack for $10 a ticket. Pre-sale tickets are available at El Burrito Mexicano (801 W Thomas L Pkwy, Lansing, Michigan 48917), online through Brown Paper Tickets (https://cpwnov2019.bpt.me), or by contacting Capital Pro Wrestling on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/CPWLansing).
