Wheel of Fortune Junior Edition
System: NES
Release Date: October 1989
Developer: Rare
Publisher: GameTek
Genre: Game Show
Two days in a row, Rare and GameTek give me a half-hearted release with Wheel of Fortune Junior Edition. Just like the Jeopardy! Junior Edition, this game is exactly the same as its predecessor. Honestly though, I couldn’t even tell if the puzzles were actually easier.
Gert and I played two rounds. The first was against the hard CPU level. I don’t recommend it, because once they get control, they don’t miss. Playing on normal difficulty, you can blow the computer away. But you’re not getting anything new here.
Graphics: 0.5
My wife made the Vanna White looks like RuPaul comment again. I told her she already said that.
Sound: 0.5
The sound needed to get better and hasn’t.
Gameplay: 1.5
There have been no upgrades in the game, which means it’s a downgrade.
Difficulty: 2.0
I was hoping for the Prize Round to give me RSTLNE, but we’re not there, yet.
Fun Factor: 1.0
Still not as fun as Jeopardy!
Overall Grade: 1.1
Wheel of Fortune Junior Edition earns a D. Two disappointing sequels down. Let’s hope we get something good next week!
