It’s the 90s and there’s time for Klax! Blah, blah, blah. I’ve played this game before. Twice, actually. It’s a decent puzzle game, but you know, I’m not good at it.
You have to complete the objective for each level. It might be get a certain number of Klaxes, a certain number of points, or play a certain number of tiles. You can press up and push the tiles back on the conveyor, but you’re just setting yourself up for pain if you do this. You’re allowed between 3 and 5 tile drops before you lose a life. Lose them all and it’s game over.
Watch me play for a little bit. I will say, I was able to get the warp X this time. I wanted to see where it would take me and the answer was level 51! I could not beat level 51. 30 Klaxes was out of my wheel house.
Graphics: 1.5
It’s colored tiles flopping at you on a nice background.
Sound: 1.0
Music defaults to off and I didn’t realize it until I quit. I went back and it’s too subdued. The sound effects are the same as the other versions.
Gameplay: 2.0
Drop the blocks to get three, four, or five in a row. Complete the objective of each stage.
Difficulty: 2.0
Oh, you’ll die because you think you have a Klax lined up, but then you drop the wrong block.
Fun Factor: 1.5
I’m Klaxed out.
Overall Rating: 1.6
Klax earns a C-. I dunno, it might be the best of the three, but I’m over this game.
